The Scent of Christ
It started by buying a cheap wood box from Wall-Mart and needing something to hold my inscents, scented burning wax and scented oils I thought I would make a container to hold these things together.
So as I started working with random papers of Christ and other images related to my Lord and mixing it with some of my found objects including a binocular eye piece, parts from a old sewing machine and industrial parts, coffee beans and God knows what construction began…
It even has a insent burning holder on front made from a old electrical conductor. Inside I added more imagery and to give it a beautiful scent I used a cheese grater and scented wax and covered the inside in areas needed. After blending things with acrylic paint “The Scent of Christ” was created and i finally had a container I could put my scents securely inside. Or at least I thought…
After a friend and local gift store owner saw it she feel in love with it and as she was hosting a art action for adults with disabilities she asked if I could offer it for others to bid on including herself :). As bad as I hated to let it go its my calling to help others in many ways including my art. So tonight at The Main Street Market on the square here in Gainesville Ga my piece and other pieces of art will be out helping others. So if you can drop by from 5;30 to 7;30 to see art on display and maybe get involved in helping others. The art of giving is in fact the greatest form of art.
