BIRTHMARKS-The Beginning To A End Exhibition This September
Life has been hard these past few months which am sorta use to THE HARD LIFE but its been extra testing even to the point of firing off my life long issues with Depression. Depression is not about not feeling good for those who don’t suffer from this Desease it is basically like crawling into a trench of life and hoping to vanish into dust. It is all to smothering.
On top of that I have a group show in September and then to create a special solo piece for a special event in October. Lets say I feel the pressure but as Depression exist its like i cannot do anything about it and my spirit is suffering.
Then i stumbled across a video on Instagram of this older gentleman knocking on 100 years old who has been a painter his whole life i assume and the video had his daughter saying how she stumbled into his art room and he was making major changes to a large painting that is due very soon for display and she was in panic and asked him why such a change especially at this stage. He said something that inspires me ever time i think about it and so he said “I had to change direction because the painting told him to do so and when the train gets off the tracks he said you are then to ATTTACK the painting and do what is needed for the painting. Just those words which I totally understand is all it took to perhaps not get me out of the trenches of life but to at least try and ATTACK my collections.
So with that in mind I decided to use what art I have been able to do and that is basically my doodles which are in fact my drawings in which many are the birthplace to a larger or at least a even greater version of the doodle which I prefer to call my drawings. So for the first exhibition due in September I will display these small but still possibly just as powerful images that if you think about it are the birthplace to something more. That in my mind makes it a powerful collection a true and honest collection of where I have been in my emotional state.
So here to the birth of a new collection entitled “BIRTHMARKS”-The Beginning To A End
