Tomorrow begins Day 1 basically on my first painting of the year. When asked to do a painting for the Premier Arts Collective Fall Fund Raising Event supporting actually folks like myself who struggle from Mental Health Issues along with Addiction issues. So when I was asked to perticipate I felt I had to say yes.

So what to create?

Actually the title came first to me which happens often with my creation process. So the title “The Flies From Within” entered my mind out of nowhere or at least it seemed so but am sure the words laid dorminent from within. Also the meaning came second and I knew “the flies” represented darkness aka deppression and from within which is oneself the flies multiplied until a point when they had to be released and it is within this release a single cough of expelling things start to happen and the flies exited the darkness within and can start to form a cloud of a healing a dusting throughout. Perhaps when exposed to light and the subtle inviting colors from above even a form of beauty could be seen thru all the chaos of the wings and while they leave the dark chamber of the human form by letting out what it is that is hurting us so-the traumas, the thoughts the hurting memories and the addictions that can follow from -”The Flies From Within”.
